PRSI Entitlements

If you are working (and are NOT Self-Employed) and have been paying into the PRSI scheme, then provided there has been a continuous 5 year period of employment, you may be entitled to a free annual Dental Examination under the Scheme. (other Non-Dental entitlements also apply). This Scheme used to cover a lot more treatment but sadly, all the other benefits have been removed.

To check your eligibility please phone the Department of Social and Family Affairs on 1890-400-400 ,Extension 3(Dental) and they will give you an answer based on  your PPS number. Alternatively, if you phone the practice, we can make contact on your behalf and check your eligibility.

Please Note: The annual examination can only be claimed once , even if you change dentists mid-year.
